this isn't about sex, but I thought that would grab your attention.

I'm making an mp3 disc to take on my long impending bus ride to LA next week, so I'm soliciting ideas of great !romantic/love songs, because I only have about 33 and the disc can hold over 100.

That is the theme of this disc. I mostly listen to songs on the radio, and therefore do not know much non-mainstream music, besides Holly Cole. So song suggestions from either category would be appreciated.

I like all kinds of music except rap and hip hop. I especially love all music earlier than the 1970s.

I listened to "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" by Moby. That is definitely one of those songs I can only listen to alone.

I also prefer to listen to jazz alone.

What are the saddest, most heart-wrenching songs you know?

I cannot listen to "Do What You Have To Do" by Sarah McLachlan if I'm feeling depressed because it makes me feel even worse and it makes me bawl my eyes out.

Also, Holly Cole does the most spooky version of Joni Mitchell's "River".

ok, I got my CD finished, with 87 songs. I got a few from your suggestions, but most of them are ones that we've all heard on the radio many times. I just like popular music. (minus hip-hip and c-rap)
