Have you done a search? I thought I posted one ages and ages ago. I think it was tofu, mushroom and asparagus but you don't have to add the veggies. The flavouring and the tofu alone will land you where you want.

I don't have a recipe but this is what I do:

Cut fairly thin slices of tofu, press, add a bit of marinade (soy sauce, tomato paste, sugar, hot chilli paste, garlic etc.) and let everything sit for a while, dredge in cornstarch and then in sesame seeds and/or ground almonds. Then I crisp up the tofu on high heat in a pan.

Un-hulled and black sesame is nice, but that's just personal preference. I expect you could stick it under the grill and baste with extra marinade too. Or add sesame sauce after searing the tofu - dry roasted, coarsely crushed sesame, sesame oil, sugar, soy sauce and a touch of rice vinegar. Goes nicely with cucumber too, just don't let the cucumber simmer and go limp.
