I know that I'm not the one of the people to get up infront of my entire school and scream out to the world that eating meat is wrong. I also believe that everyone is entitled to their own oppinion and if someone doesn't want to eat meat or if they do choose to eat meat it's their own choice and you can't change that. Well I have friends that are vegetarians and some of them are the kind that if they see someone eating meat they'll say your eating a living breathing creature. Well i may agree with that but still, like I said, it's their own choice and if they've been informed that they're eating a creature that once lived and still choose to eat it thats their choice. Well I think that there is another way of informing people that haven't leanred about this yet without drawing to much attention to yourself, I know that I'm slightly shy around new people so I wouldn't do that so my new way is be subtle about it, every once in a while if you see someone eating meat you can bring up a subject on like "have you seen meet your meat?" or something and that way you can tell if they have been informed or not so that if they say no you can explain to them that some places mistreat the animals they kill to serve us as human beings. You can also wear t-shirts that are subtle. like for instance i just got a t-shirt that has a bunny and a dear on it and it says too cute to shoot. I know it will draw attention and people may ask what it means. that gives you a chance to tell them about important things like not killing animals for fun. well this forum is open to anyone who has questions or would like to share some advice for us less outgoing vegetarians....

Maybe it needs a few more minutes in the oven.

wait...maybe it should have been dead BEFORE it went in the oven? AW issues aside, that could cause a hell of a mess. And cows don't really fit.

Um. to the OP. I think I agree with you, partly. On one hand everyone deserves the right to their oppinion. On the other hand did hitler have the right to his oppinion? He didn't break any laws in germany by killing jews did that make it his desicion and his choice.

I don't know. It's a hard call. I too am often too shy or too scared of the subject to turn around and say what I am sometimes thinking when people bite into their burger. More over anything I don't want to be one of those pushy veg*ans who everyone hates because they act like they have some sort of moral highground.

Anyway, more to the point. If anyone says "why are you veg*an" you can always say "have you ever watched meet your meat?" and if they say no say "look it up. that's why" and if they yes just shrug and say "that's why" the chances are if they haven't seen it they will look it up out of curiosity.

However if they don't say that, and the topic comes up, you can say similarly "You have the right to eat as you like. The important thing is the meat industry thrives on ignorance. Check out a vidoe such as meet your meat. If it doesn't bother you. That's none of my buisness. But it seriously changed my mind on some things. I like to know what I am eating" and again curiosity killed the cat and it might help some of these Omnis to see their food in a new light.

If it doesn't come up. Personally I would leave it. More often than not it does come up though.
