The vegan soy slices/sausage/faux "meats" and so forth can have a lot of sodium and such but they meet a need sometimes, I totally understand. (sheesh! IGNORE those Fuhrman folks and eat what you need for YOU!!).
So maybe try some once in a while - once or twice a week to give yourself (and your brain) a break from cooking/creating... you may find you don't care for the premade sausages and stuff as much as your own home-made items anyway.
Bottom line, the soy products won't kill you, they're quick and easy and provide protein - they aren't a bad option on occasion.
