I am the IT director at Sam's Country Market and we are in need of some assistance from people that care about Ma' and Pa' small businesses. Basically we are a unique, open-air produce market about 2 miles west of Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Our location has been famous for produce for many decades and we are making it famous again for fresh produce at old fashioned prices. We are looking to expand what we offer with fresh premium coffee (by the cup or by the bag), rotisserie chicken (not everyone is a vegetarian), and a full-service deli. The deli will carry a lot of vegie and vegan friendly items. We also need funds to keep the store running (paying our rent, vendors, utilities, and payroll).

Without this funding we will have to shut down the store. That is something we do not want to have to do. I hope you can help. If you would like to help, please visit our IndieGogo page at http://www.indiegogo.com/SamsCountryMarket . You can also check out our website at http://www.samscountrymarket.com/.

In accordance with this site's Terms of Service I am going to continue to post here and engage this community. I do apologize that I could not wait the 30 days to start posting as my store is in real need of capital to expand and to keep us afloat until we break even at the end of this year.

If you live in the area of Anaheim I suggest stopping by the store and checking us out.

Thank you!

Even though this is a vegie blog I did include the rotisserie chicken in the description above as a lot of families shop at the store that are not vegetarians. We will be offering vegetarian and vegan friendly deli salads and sandwiches in case you were wondering. If you would prefer your money not to go to the rotisserie chicken please specify that in the comments when you donate. Thank you!

I used to live down the street from there. It was a good little market. Looks like a barn, has murals.

Once you get the deli stocked with vegetarian and vegan items, you might want to get listed on the Happy Cow website. Especially useful for people traveling to Disneyland and looking for veg*n food. You are about a block north of Thuyen Vien, which is veg*n, but there is very little else in that area.

That is the store Mojo. Thank you for the tip on the Happy Cow website...I will look into it. We have a big selection of Bob's Red Mill and a lot of those items are either vegan, glutten free, or usda organic. We are also starting to carry more organic produce. We just got in these amazing 5lb bags of gala apples. They are nice a crispy!
