Ok, so I just learned that many brands of cereal have vitamin D in them, making them unfit for vegans. Does this mean that all cereals which contain vitamin D are unacceptable?

Does anyone have a life of "safe" cereals? I live off the stuff....

thanks!

Try looking in a health food store. I've seen cereals that advertise being vegan there.

Just thought I'd use this thread to express how mad/sad I am that Kellogg's Mini Wheats have gelatin in the frosting!

This was my favorite cereal and now I can't eat it!!! Yeah I know I probably don't need that much sugar (actually in the morning maybe I do).

Lately I have been eating organic cereals, and they are quite good. Maybe I won't miss my second fave cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios, when/if I drop what little honey I eat.

I eat :

Nature's Path cereals

Full Circle Cereals

Arrowhead Mills

Puffins (PB!)

You can make your own cereal blends with flaked cereals and dried fruits and nut pieces.

You can make your own granola really easily.

Chef Deb and Bryanna both have recipes.

www.vegsource.com

Breakfast cereal is my fave food!

I also make my own milk blend up using Chef Deb's recipe for Almond Rice Milk and I mix that with unsweetened Silk or Westsoy.

http://www.vegsource.com/talk/recipe...ges/76738.html

Enjoy your breakfast!

I don't mean to be the vegan police, just a pointer outer of possible oversights......If you don't eat processed suger you probably don't want to eat LIFE cereal. I'm not looking at a box now but I'm almost certain they use sugar and not cane juice or some other "vegan" sweetener.
