i have rubella ( german measles ).<br><br>
i was slightly glad because that meant i had to call out of work for the whole weekend.<br><br>
until i realized i was vaccinated against it... okay so i had no faith in vaccinations anyway but it sucks i had to get a shot for no good reason as a young child.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
just me venting... feel free to ignore me :]

Eek. I've known a couple of munchkins who fell prey to the "German Measles". Nothing too major, but all in all, not a fun time. Feel better soon!

did you get your booster shots? the effectiveness of vaccines is only so long which is why you typically get two (? i think two) boosters after the intitial.<br><br><br><br>
ETA: i found this very <a href="http://parentcenter.babycenter.com/expert/preschooler/phealth/pvaccines/70787.html" target="_blank">nice link</a>. apparently there is one (potential booster) which brings the effectiveness of the vaccine up to 99%, from 95% after one shot.
