Guy Issues. Ugh. Just a lot of ranting.

Everyone says life gets easier. Everyone was wrong. Especially when you're a teenage girl.

So...I take geometry. I hate math. I have no friends in that class. I rarely even speak. I sit next to this one girl who I converse with sometimes...and this guy. Let's call him "Jimmy." He never even crossed my mind until recently.

I'm on the paper and last week the staff was delivering the new issue to all the classrooms. My friend and I have the same teacher, different periods. We were discussing what an idiot this guy is because he still acts like a student. As we walked, we passed Jimmy and he happened to overhear our convo. and join in. He was all like "Hey! You're in my class. I felt really bad for asking to borrow your pencil because you never talk." I kindly explained that I never talked because A) None of my friends are there, and B) My teacher is a dick. We laughed about that.

Two days later, I got my hair cut. Trim...sidesweep. Kinda cute. I go to geometry, sit down. Jimmy asks if I did something to my hair. I tell him yes, and he says it looks really nice. I'm thinking...tad strange.

A few days after that, there was an exchange with some Danish students in my school. Long story. Anyway...I was chosen for one to shadow me. So, I get dressed up really nice. Cute dress and jeans...do my hair/makeup (which I never do) because I was anticipating a Danish hottie (which I got). Again, I go to geometry. Jimmy asks me for a pencil. As I turn to give him one, he looks me over. Like...looks me over. And he says "Wow, you look really nice today." I say thank you... Before I leave to meet my student, Jimmy gives me my pencil back. Last time he borrowed one, he acted like I was invisible when I asked for it back and stuck it in his pocket.

Yesterday, I'm sitting talking with that girl and Jimmy butts in, asking me all kidna of questions. Earlier today, I found him on Myspace and added him. He immediately wrote to me, asking "What's up?"

All my friend say I should just be happy that a good-looking senior (I'm only a sophomore) football player is talking to me. The thing is, in all honesty, I'm jsut not used it! All my guy friends treat me like one of them. I'v never been asked out on a date. I've never even been asked to dance! (Unlike the vast majority of my friends)

And as if I thought that that wasn't too much to deal with... I recently discover he has a girlfriend. Why the hell is he being so nice to me? The male species positively baffles me.

I just realized how long this is. Sorry guys =/

He is one of 2 things:

1) A player.

2) A genuinely nice guy.

Stay on your toes with him and you'll be fine. Chances are equally good here that he could be either or, so try not to bludgeon him before you know all of the facts but also don't let him get too close and/or comfy.

Men have a real problem with being faithful. Especially attractive men who know they look good and know everyone else knows they look good. It's arrogance and it's the bane of the world.

Be cautious and be safe.

Thanks. He's never come off as arrogant. Even though we never spoke until recently, I always heard him talking with his friends. I'm leaning towards "genuinely nice guy," but hey, you never know. He could also be a pathological liar.

Hahaha. Yeah.

Some guys are just genuine cupcakes that really want to be nice to other people. I have known plenty guys with girlfriends who have been unusually sweet to me just because they're like that. Just nice.

I hope that's the case. You may find a good friend in him.

Yeah, but it's not often you come across those guys. They're a particularly rare breed. lol. I hope he really is a nice guy though, girlfriend or no girlfriend. He likes 80's music. That's rare, too =D

The more days I spend at high school, the more I am convinced that teenage boys are there to make teenage girls lives more difficult. Because life is too simple otherwise, you know?

I agree with what HandcuffedAngel said. He may just be a nice guy. It's allowed.

It doesn't change, even in college.

And it's true, he's either a player or a genuinely nice guy. Just be careful. Historically senior guys prey on the younger girls as a sort of easy manipulation... but perhaps I'm just untrusting of anyone with a Y chromosome.

I'm with HandcuffedAngel on this one. From your post he does seem to be a genually nice guy, but be careful...he may just trying to be nice, trying to make friends sort of thing, not in a boyfriend/girlfriend sort of way. Then again if he is flirting with you or making an extra effort to compliment you then just be aware...this guy has a girlfriend, why would he do that? I would just stay friendly with him, if something happens then just go with your instinct.

He COULD like you. i mean, just cause he has a girlfriend doens't mean he doesn't like you. steer clear till he's single though, if you like him.

sorry, i'm feeling short and sweet.
