I absolutely adore this film and was wondering if anyone else here did, too!

I love RHPS too. I used to act in a shadow cast that performed in a movie theater when I was in high school. I was Riff-Raff. I saw it about 72 times in the theater.

Loved it - still do.

In high school, I saw it 23 times...at the Strand Theatre in Ocean Beach in San Diego. When my friends and I acted /sang it in the car and such, I was always Janet.

Hate it, hate it, hate it (but in a loving kinda way). When I was in middle school/freshman in hs, my brother and his gf were obsessed with it. Went to the midnight showing every freaking weekend it seemed and often dragged me with them...in costume, of course.

Dammit Janet, it's overkill, and I can't watch it anymore.

Love it with a deep and abiding passion. I recently played Eddie in the stage version (which came before the movie, btw). There are very few rock musicals that I believe are worthwhile. Rocky Horror is one of them. The others are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hair, and Rent.

Hedwig is the best of them all, tho...

My best friend recently came across Hedwig and it sounds fabulous! I've been meaning to see it but haven't found the time...

I used to go regularly about 15-20 years back. The lady that later became my wife went regularly to one across town around the same period, but we never met until after we both stopped going. She still has all of her stubs. Best part is the few differences in lines between the shows she went to, and the ones I went to. (different crowds) Provided us both with some new laughs when we watched it together for the first time.

I've only gone once, but I live near a theater that does it. I like it, but I found the audience thing a little intimidating. I love the costumes and all the drag of course!

If you go a few times you will catch on to the lines and the timing of them. I remember my first time and I was completely lost because I was trying to listen to a bunch of people all yelling things as well as watch the movie and hear the dialogue. And the dancing!

Yeah, I like the stage play much better than the movie. It was originally conceived for the stage, and written by Richard O'Brien (Riff Raff).

I was an amazing Eddie. Not as amazing as Meatloaf, but amazing nonetheless...

This is my favourite movie! I could watch it for days and not get tired of it. I really want to see it in the theater so I can get the full experience, but I don't think it plays here anymore.

And I definitely recommend Hedwig and the Angry Inch. That movie is wonderful.

I saw the Rocky Horror Show at the theatre a few weeks ago on the national UK tour and absolutely hated it!

from what I

From what I've seen of RHS's current incarnation, it has lost it's rawness, it's sincerity. It's charming, and sanitized. The edge that used to come from the material itself has been replaced with modern costuming.

no thanx.
