Does anyone else find that warm roasted pine nuts taste a bit like chicken skin? I know what a cliche - tastes like chicken. We had pasta with pumpkin sauce (drool), green beans and I made garlic butter lentils to go with it. I roasted some pinenuts to mix with the lentils and I swear they tasted like chicken skin. I made my dad taste them and he said they did too and he's an omni so at least I know it wasn't just me. Maybe it was the canola spray I used? Weird.
