I wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to make cheese from rice milk? I have a cows milk intolerance and prefer not to eat soya as it give me stomach sometimes. I like rice milk and can make it myself and wondered if you can make something cheese like using it

Daiya cheese is soy-free and tastes really good as long as it's melted. I had a rice cheese once and thought it was nasty. I can't remember the brand, though.

Galaxy Foods makes a rice cheese - it's been improved over time, and it's actually better melted than right out of the fridge (and given a dab of vegenaise!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/yes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">). They even make a vegan pepper jack version. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">
