I've heard you can replace oil with apple sauce. Is there another way of replacing?

you can make flax eggs too, 1 Tbsp ground flax seed blended with 3 Tbsp of water. mix in a food processor till foamy, but if you don't have one, you let the two sit together for a few minutes so it gets thick.

1/4 silken tofu = 1egg

when sbstituting applesauce, only replace 1/2 of the amt. to bake exclusively with applesauce, the recipe has to be modified.

do a search for vegan egg replacements on line,....there are some extensive lists available.

a can of soda can be used instead of oil in boxed cake mixes

yeah, whoever figured that out was a genius. its awesome. diet coke and a box cake makes the moistest cakes ever.

I think all I've ever tried was yogurt, canned pumpkin, mashed bananas or applesauce, but I would think any pureed fruit would work.
