Out of my love of animals I've been working toward a completely vegan diet for six months. I still consume milk and eggs, but I've had neither for two weeks now. I still struggle with the idea that maybe we can have a cooperative relationship with animals, as an example, shearing animals for fur during warm summer months that they then grow back before winter. Or milk, if the dairy cow is treated humanely. I was wondering if it would be possible to use anesthesia or pain killer on a cow, surgically remove edible meat, and then when the cow is completely healed remove meat again. And like fur, create a renewable source of food that didn't harm the animal. Is there a part of cow that you could remove the meat and it grow back? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/huh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">

Animal products of any sort are unsuitable for a vegan lifestyle, and discussing different ways of procuring animal products is inappropriate for the Vegan Support Forum.
