Tomorrow, me and my family are going to be visiting Victoria, BC to meet one of my parents' friends, who have moved there. Can anyone recommend th best vegan restaurant there? I googled "Vegan restaurants in Victoria,BC" and a restaurant called Green Cuisine showed up. Does anyine know of any other good vegan restaurants in the area? I am really looking foward to eating in a vegan restaurant, as I never have eaten in one before!

Froggy and I just spent a few days there and it's a GREAT place for vegans!

Hmmm...Green Cusine's food is good, I've heard. It looked OK when we stopped by, but we were too full from the other yummy places in town...

I've had their desserts though, which I must say are TO DIE FOR! Froggy spoiled me with a whole bag of decadant goodies that we munched on for several days

But: For the best vegan choice I'd DEFINITELY say Rebar!

Absolutely go there! http://www.rebarmodernfood.com/ They do good breakfasts which can be hard for vegans to find too, but ALL their meals are worth checking out. They aren't totally vegan, but can "vegan-ize" pretty much anything on the menu too and are VERY vegan-knowledgable! (Oh, and the vegan chocolate brownie will blow you away!!)

Lotus Pond is my other favorite. You should go there as well, if you have the time. They do vegan (Buddhist) Chinese foods with mock meats and tofu and such. SOOOOOO insanely yummy!!

Oh man! Now I want to go back to Victoria. (Of course, my choice in traveling companions made a huge difference in how much I enjoyed the trip too! )

I ate there once when I was visiting and loved it. Sarah McLachlan was at a table across from us which was sort of cool.

Cheers!

I ate at Rebar on our Alaskan cruise trip this summer. It was very good. They were out of vegan brownies the day we went though

I got back from Victoria a couple days ago, and I ate at Green Cuisine. It was awesome! I loved the tempeh burger. And Tofu-n-Sprouts, I know what you feel like because I want to go back there too!
