Once upon a time,(1/9/2011), Michael goes to the doctor to review his recent test results. Blood glucose is too high. Cholesteral is too high. Overweight. Smokes a pack a day. High Blood Pressure. Little or no exercise. Doctor mumbles something about a Mediteranian Diet, various medications and a drug to quit smoking. Michael gets a wake up call! Michael decides not to fund his Doctor's next vacation! Michael purchases a book written by Dr. Neal Barnhard. Neal talks about controlling or curing Diabetes through diet and exercise. The diet is based on plants. Michael quits smoking cold turkey, becomes an overnight Vegan diet follower and starts exercising. He now breaths better, has more energy, has lost 20 pounds, lowered his blood pressure and decreased his carbon foot print. He even looks better. Many of his co workers and friends think he is involved in some fad! He has lunch with his boss who eats a rack of ribs while he eats a black bean burger and a salad. He brings Hummus and Vegetables to parties. People are starting to notice a change in his physical appearance and energy. The next chapter in the story takes place in April when Michael recieves new test results and meets with his Doctor. Stay tuned. Great to be in the presence of those who embrace change, and walk a diffrent path.

Such an inspiring story! Glad to hear that you improved your health that way and I hope your boss wants to taste that black bean burger instead of ribs someday.
