Try a spicy raw dish when it's cold out. Warms you right up. Remember that food is still considered to be raw if it's less than 108f I think? So you can still have body temp soups n such.
I hadn't realised that, I assumed it had to be just that.. raw. I make a lot of homemade soup and like nothing better than sitting down to a nice hot bowl of the good stuff, not sure that luke warm would excite me in the same way!

Though I am not eating all raw, I have gone through short periods of eating all raw. I did best with the high fruit high carb low fat raw including lots of leafy greens. It just felt more satiating and I had more energy and better digestion than when I ate stuff like sprouted beans, nuts and seeds, avocado etc. Also, I used to think I had to refrigerate most of my fruit but over the last few years stopped doing that and have left it out on the counter. I actually like eating warm fruit better than cold and it keeps longer than I thought it would. So my second go at doing all raw went much better. The first time I was always freezing (I live in Northern Minnesota off lake Superior and both times did raw in winter). Raw doesn't necessarily mean your food has to be cold. I also learned to appreciate the natural spiciness of greens like mustard greens or arugula. Those can be warming too. I would always get really emotional when I was eating all raw and I think it was partly due to withdrawals from coffee and partly because raw food doesn't numb you or weigh you down like some cooked foods. Someday I would like to move more towards raw but not totally.
I have noticed my energy levels increase since making the transition to vegan and my body feels lighter so I can only imagine how much improved again it would be if I incorporated more raw into my diet.
I can understand how eating raw would increase your vibration, things like coffee really suppress it but I can't stand the stuff although the smell of fresh coffee is lovely!

I probably will not go raw, but I think incorporating more raw foods is a great idea. I'm teaching abroad now and it's not easy to find leafy greens in Kuwait (or any fruit/veg that is organic), but I'm making do with the fruits and veggies I can get my hands on. Fortunately, salads are popular in this region, so I'm finding ways of using the readily-available parsley and mint that I've seen as well as any leafy, dark greens I can find.

Wow, from Chicago to Kuwait is a HUGE change! Hats off to you! I am growing loads of fresh mint and have way more of it than I know what to do with. I have been putting it in smoothies and even my coffee. If you have ideas to share with what you do with it I would love to hear them!
