Category: Raw Foods

Suitable for a: vegan/raw diet

Ingredients:

------------------------------------------------------

1 large eggplant, thinly sliced lengthwise

3/4 c. oil

1 tsp. cayenne

2 Tbl. Raw Agave Nectar

4 Tbl. Ume Plum Vinegar

Instructions:

------------------------------------------------------

Marinate for 2 hours. Place on teflex sheets and dehydrate for 9 hours. Turn bacon over and dehydrate another 9 hours.

Additional comments:

------------------------------------------------------

This is not my recipe. It can be found here.

But I wanted to post it because I made it before for some raw foodists and everyone was crazy about it - they made some raw bacon cheeseburgers (except me that is - since the cayenne was a little too much for me!).

sorry, about that...I forgot to change it to my vegan sub which is Raw Agave Nectar. This is what I used when I made it. Also, I recommend using Olive oil for the oil ingrediant.

Thanks for noticing though! I actually picked it as 'suitable for' raw diet and it posted as vegan and I had to edit it anyhow. (although, it is good for both vegan and raw). Must be something wrong with the recipe sub form.
