Every living being on earth should be afforded rights. Maybe they don't have the same rights as humans, but they definitely need to be seen as part of the overall "circle of life." If we break the circle we disrupt the natural state of things and it will affect everything on earth.

I think it should be mentioned that the pics may be graphic for some people (In the first link there is a rat in an oil bottle, and a cut up rat)

Yes I know if we ignore it because its grpahic nothing will change but I still wanted to add that for people!

I appreciate the thought, thank you.

I'm only too aware of the barbaric cruelty that goes on in this world against animals and I really do get seriously affected when I see pics or things on tv.

I used to enjoy wildlife films etc, but can't bear to watch them anymore because I can't bear the sight of animals being killed, even by other animals for food. I know all wild animals have to kill to eat and survive, but I can't bear to see the killing.

those are good links. i particularly like the second one, with the interesting rat facts. one of my first and most beloved companion animals was a rescued lab rat . so, it's nice to see organizations with compassion for the little guys, instead of viewing them as "things".
