We have rain in our forecast for the next ten days!!!!

Do you have any stairs? You can go up and down those a bunch of times. Start by going up two or three, then down, then up to four and down, up to five and down....

Dancing is a great idea.

I use it when it's stormy and I can't walk to the gym.

if im stuck inside I do a warmup I used to do when I took gym (physical education class) 40 jumping jacks, 15 pushups, 30 situps, and a bunch of different stretches, also if I mess up (I do that on push ups alot :p) I give myself a few extra to do, and sometimes I do alot more then then (accually USSUALLY i do alot more situps) then I run the treadmill for around 40 minutes. (for an extra workout you can put the treadmill in an 'uphill' position) sometimes I lift weights (but barely ever)

You could make up a cardio routine of different exercises like run up and down the stairs, run from room to room, do jumping jacks, do a defensive shuffle while rolling an exercise ball, do the stairs again, jump rope, jump side to side following a line, throw in a few strength training moves, etc. Make a big long list so you don't get bored and just do a bunch of random things! It'll occupy you as long as going for a run or bike ride would. I definitely couldn't just jump rope or go up and down stairs for a 1/2 hour straight!

I only like to do that kind of stuff when I'm home alone though. I wonder what I'll do instead of biking outside when it starts snowing outside...I'll miss my riding.

I second the dancing around in your room thing .

Also, if you do something to get your heart rate up (jog around the house, run up and down stairs) you can also do sit ups, push ups, etc.

I'm not really much help because I do all my work outs at home. We've got a treadmill (which I never use! My parents do, though), two exercise bikes, and I also bellydance and do yoga. I don't think I've ever exercised outside (I don't know how to ride a bike!) and our streets aren't really exercise-friendly.

Anyway, good luck!

You bellydance?! That's awesome! Isn't it a great workout? I bumped an old thread the other day about bellydancing to see if anyone on VB does it. http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/s...ad.php?t=35251

I have a couple questions about stuff, so maybe I'll PM you to see if you can help me.

I usually just run outside even if it is raining. I usually run on a trail in a dried out river bed so I usually will stick to the roads if it is raining.

If you can record the early fitness exercise shows, and then do the exercises when you have time. If you are concerned about your roommates, do the exercises when they are asleep, or away from home.
