Do you have a hard time finding vegetarian/environmentally friendly products in local stores?

Depends on where you're living. In the Greatest City On Earth (aka Toronto) you can have whatever you want, with the pickings a bit slimmer between 2am and 8am. Other places go from having to travel a bit (to me this is anything that isn't walking distance) to having to pack an overnight bag and get on a greyhound to find the desired item.

Do you have a hard time finding same products in online stores that will ship to Canada?

I haven't seen any NO CANADIANS signs on the few sites I bought from.

If you found a Canadian website selling vegetarian/environmentally friendly products (food, clothing, cosmetics, cleaning products, hemp products etc) with reasonable prices would you be likely to shop from it? often?

If I were in one of the overnight/greyhound locations yeah, not getting ripped off on the exchange rate is nice. I'd rather go into a real store and buy things I can touch though.

Are there any specific items that you have had trouble finding that you would like to see in such a store? I don't have trouble finding things. But I'd like the absolute LARGEST selection of jerky available in one place. Actually to hell with everything else I just want to shop at veggiejerky.ca.

What types of products are you most likely to buy online (all that apply)

I just wouldn't buy shoes. Must walk around store in shoes before buying.

What would you like to see in such a store? (ie:style, website features, etc)

Jerky. And lip balm. Jerky makes my lips dry.

I also like the product lists with the little thumbnail pictures, and the main menu type things should have actual product types listed so I know what I'm going to be looking at. I went to a site the other day looking for shower heads and a few of the bath fixture sites had everything by make or designer. So I click on like "Lavatoire Du Poopier" and scan these lists of faucets and bidets and lemon-scented LED enhanced toilet lids only to find one dinky little showerhead buried in the depths of page four. Here's a link I would've liked: SHOWERHEADS. Novel, eh?

Clear fonts are good too. Well I mean dur, but I thought I'd say it anyway.

Do you have a hard time finding same products in online stores that will ship to Canada? I haven't tried.

If you found a Canadian website selling vegetarian/environmentally friendly products (food, clothing, cosmetics, cleaning products, hemp products etc) with reasonable prices would you be likely to shop from it? often? It all depends on how much shipping costs. But I'm trying to not use my credit card, so I probably wouldn't.

I don't think my answers are going to help you much, sorry! I can count on one hand the times I've bought items from online stores. I just feel bad about it, because of shipping costs and the fact that I have to use my credit card.

No, and, increasingly, less so. I buy most of my food from a small produce store with an extended selection of dried, bulk, refrigerated and specialty foods, with a wide selection. Even in larger chain foodstores like Safeway, Im seeing more options. In smaller grocery, and chain healthfood stores, I find new products every few to several months.

Do you have a hard time finding same products in online stores that will ship to Canada?

Rarely shop online, since these items are so easily found in my local stores.

If you found a Canadian website selling vegetarian/environmentally friendly products (food, clothing, cosmetics, cleaning products, hemp products etc) with reasonable prices would you be likely to shop from it? often?

If the shipping rates and times were reasonable, I would consider an initial buy, and perhaps repeat if I were very pleased but I do prefer to shop in person rather than online, unless Im familiar with a product but for some reason can no longer access it in local stores.

Are there any specific items that you have had trouble finding that you would like to see in such a store? Come to think of it, I find it hard to get tasty, reasonably priced vegan burgers in any Canadian store small grocery, mainstream chain, or healthfood. Selection is often slim, and they are *highly* expensive, compared to the price and selection Ive seen in health and mainstream stores (like Walmart and standard foodstores) when Ive visited the US.

What types of products are you most likely to buy online (all that apply)

-food

Id consider unique cosmetics. In theory, I'm interested in quality, affordable clothing and vegan shoes, but in practice, these are items Im not comfortable buying online fits vary so much, even in stores.

I would *definitely* buy well-priced quality essential oils. And I think any health-oriented website should include ethically produced fair-trade shea butter - simply because it's such a wonderful skin and haircare product.

What would you like to see in such a store? Edit: BTW, I will look into the questions more when I get home tonight.
