It's been awhile since I have posted - SO much going on in my life!!!

I have a question...

As a Vegan, what should be done with meat in the freezer (that was bought prior to becoming a vegan)? My DH is an omni, so he will eat some of it, but there is more than he could eat before it wouldn't be any good.

Throw it out? Give it to a friend who is omni?

I'm thinking give it to a friend who is omni, but wanted to find out what y'all thought...

I'd give it to a friend, myself. The harm isn't in eating the meat, it's in buying it(from an ethical standpoint), so there's no point letting it go to waste.

If it's frozen, maybe ask your local soup kitchen if they can use it. Make sure to ask before you thaw it or anything, as they may have specific rules about donations, etc.

I had the same problem sorta accept i live alone. I just ate the meat and then phased out meat after it was gone. Seems to be the easiest way. I guess it depends on the reasons you have become vegan. On a posative side youll notice your food bills go way down meat costs so much.
