Are arrowroot cookies vegetarian/vegan? Because I've just recently started figuring out that stuff that I thought was good to eat really wasn't.... so I've had to cut them out. And arrowroot cookies are one of the questionable ones...

I did a quick search and found a recipe for arrowroot cookies and it called for butter and an egg so at least those cookies are vegetarian but not vegan. If they're packaged cookies, you have to read the label. If you don't know what one of the ingredients is, look it up. If you can't figure out what it is, you probably don't want to eat it anyway.

Almost all packaged cookies nowadays are at least vegetarian as far as I've been able to tell. A lot of the Hostess brand stuff is not (it usually has lard in it.)

I checked and the President's Choice ones I buy contain whey powder. It might be worth asking at a health food store to see if any of the organic brands are vegan.
