I've been a vegetarian for almost ten years now, and I've always had a tough time finding gourmet recipes for fancy dinners or the holidays. That's why I put together a website:

http://www.v-recipes.com

Do any of you have this problem? Are there any recipes you fall back on when you're putting together a nice vegetarian dinner? Do you think vegetarian food has a stigma of being un-gourmet? Do you have any favorite resources for vegetarian recipes?

Cheers!

Welcome, vrecipes!

I don't have any recipes I can think of off the top of my head that would qualify as "gourmet". I like to cook, but I'm not sure any of it is fancy enough for what you have in mind.

How do you do that? Is it like vegourmetarian?

welcome, I think it's true they veg*n food has a rep for not being gourmet and 'foodies' are often going on about grilled sea bass or seared pig belly or some other disgusting cooked body parts. However there are also many veg*n foodies who know that plant- based food can be much more exciting and delicious than 'duck mousse' or whatever those snooty chefs come up with next .
