I didn't know that was the name of a business, so I was really baffled. I thought you felt you were ready to eat, but were afraid that French people wouldn't serve you...

For clarification - it's some sort of English ready-made-food place. I've heard wonderful and horrible things about it, and nothing in-between.

They certainly have both vegan and vegetarian sandwiches, in the UK at least, and they are labelled as such. I used to go there now and again, but I tend not to now after I got food poisoning from one of their sandwiches.

I so want to go into the one nearby now and say "Can you service me?"

They seem pretty vegan friendly to me, although a couple of their items weren't labeled the last time I looked, which I found odd.

In shops like that i find theres a BIG difference between the supposed menu and whats in stock.

ie. you go in there cause its the only veg*n friendly place around and all thats left is a chicken baguette. boo. Same with starbucks. Ive always seen nice looking labels on the shelves but theyre always empty! found a hummus sammich once, and i recall it was rather minging. (on the website the prices make me cry a bit too hehe)

I read a while ago on Wiki that theyre owned by Mcdonalds. I was shocked to read it meself cause theyre rather oppositey. Lemme check.

Ok they have a "minority stake" whatever the hell that means. take it thats nothing?

It means they own more than 0% and less than 50% of the company.

Nope, pret is no longer U.K only, theyre everywhere, even in Hong Kong though there they have zero vegan options. Over here though they're pretty vegan friendly, they ususally have a hummus sandwich of some kind, but then again so does boots. Personally i think pret is kind of over rated and not worth the money.

They put mayo on everything! The only thing possibly vegan in the place is the hoummus wrap and the veg sushi. It was a long time since I've visited it though as London has many other lunch options that are fare better, IMHO.

The food is pretty good for the price (at least in London). It's a great option when you're looking for fast food without the Queen's bank account to back you up. Also, they're pretty much all over the place, so they aren't hard to find.
