They usually record the awards presentations for television broadcast at a later date. If you have access to Animal Planet (the usual home for the Genesis Awards broadcasts), I recommend you keep an eye out for the next few months to see if this year's awards does air.<br><br>
You may also be interested in submitting candidates for next year's awards, if you see a movie or something on television or read something in a newspaper or magazine that you think demonstrates a positive portrayal of animals. Check the HSUS website for details on this. Books are not eligible because of their length and because of the time required to read them. And bear in mind that candidates for awards don't have to be limited to the USA or to other English-speaking countries, either.
