Did you make the hummus and guacamole yourself? I haven't seen where I could buy really raw versions of those.

And what's in your sprouted bread? I haven't used my dehydrator in a while.

I got up at about 4 pm.

So far, I've had a bunch of raw organic macadamias, and some carrot sticks and vidalia onion slices with some raw cashew-based veggie dip I made 2 days ago. I'm debating on if I want something else now. Maybe i'll crack a young coconut & make a smoothie.

This is a great idea for a thread. Since we already have a general daily meal log (for healthy eating), one in the Raising Vegetarian Children forum, and another in the Teen Forum. I tried to edit the thread title to indicate that it was for Raw Foods, but there's that danged bug in the software that disallows certain words in the thread titles, and no matter how I changed the title, I still couldn't edit it and still have the pertinent info in it. So I left it the way it was, and did the next best thing: I stickied the thread to the top of the Raw and Living Foods Forum. Hopefully users will see it and know it's a log for Raw foods.

ETA: Apparently VB doesn't allow the word "raw" in the title. Harrumph!

GNUMoe-The sprouted bread is actually Food For Life bread which is cooked but only contains sprouted grains and no flour. Eventually I will make completely raw bread.

Jenna-Yes I made the hummus and guacomole myself. I really love zuchinni hummus~it's just as good as cooked IMO.

AmySF-Thanks for making the thread stay at the top! I tried to do the title with 'raw' in it intially but it wouldn't let me too. Maybe we could put 'uncooked' in the title if it would allow it...

I had:

1 1/2 cups sprouted quinoa (breakfast)

Large salad (spinach, red cabbage, zucchini, summer squash, carrot)

2/3 cup broccoli

2/3 cup cauliflower

1/4 cup celery

1/4 avocado

1 cup sprouted quinoa (for lunch)

7 kiwis

9 apples (woo hoo!! Gala/jonagold=faves)

1 1/2 cup sprouted flaxseed

1/4 avocado (for dinner)

....I pretty much stick to about the same menu, sometimes changing fruits/veggies with the season. It seems like alot of food and ALOT of chewing, but my metabolism/health demands it.....I fall apart without it. I get horrible cravings and health problems when I don't regiment myself. But when I do, all is right with the universe!!

Jenna,

Zuchinni Hummus from "Raw Food Made Easy"

1 Zuchinni peeled and chopped

2 tbs tahini (I sometimes add a little more)

2 Tbs fresh lemon juice

1/2 tsp crushed garlic (1 clove)

1/4 tsp. ground cumin

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp salt

Place all ingredients in a food processer and blend.

It is really similar to the garbanzo kind although a little bit lighter.

LOL, it really isn't a lot of food for me! I'm not someone who can subsist on 1 cucumber and an orange for the day. I don't want to lose weight...I just eat when I'm hungry and obviously I'm hungry for A LOT I also get up at 5 or 6 every morning and I work at home so I have lots of chances to eat.

Eating nine apples is pretty impressive You're not welcome in my apartment or I'd have no apples for the rest of the week! If you have such a surplus, give back to the community.

On work days, I usually make a pitcher of smoothie and drink half before work as my breakfast/lunch then bring the other half to eat on my dinner break at work.

Today's had 2 bananas, 2 kiwis, a pear, a handful of goji berries, some coconut oil, some b5 powder (from before raw, I'm trying to finish up,) some green tea powder (from before raw, i'm trying to finish up, as well,) blueberries, and water.

I also take vitamins, which I've stocked up on since before raw. And once I finish those, i'll probably stop supplementing and see how I do.

So I took 2 probiotics, 4 flaxseed oil, 2 borage oil, 3 greensource(or something like that) multivitamins, 3 cal/mag, 1 biotin, 1 DHA, uhh...and I think that's it. Lol.

In the car on the way to work I ate some macadamias and pecans.

It's only been breakfast so far, but I've had sliced organic chinese cabbage with rasins, organic apple cubes, sesame seeds with a tamari/oliveoil/maple syrup dressing. YUM! and some food processer'd frozed organic strawberries. ohhhyeah.
