Ground rules: Information you post can be about anything at all, especially if it doesn't fit anywhere else on the board. But it has to be useful. To someone other than yourself. (and also respectful of the TOS).

I just found this in my purse. Since we come to VB from all over the world, we don't all use the same measurement units.

Temperature conversions

How to perform a headstand*

1. use a wall as support if you are clumsy or drunk.

2. squat down, placing your palms on the floor, with the heels of your hands under your shoulders. turn the insides of your elbows so they face out and your elbows bend back, rather than to the side.

3. bend at the elbow.

4. lift your heels off the floor and lean your knees into the back of your upper arms. using your upper body strength and core strength, slowly push your body forward(keeping the chest parallel to the floor until your elbows are at 90 degrees and your toes begin to lift off the floor.

5. look down, allowing the weight of your head to carry your head down to the floor. do this slowly, useing your abs to control the "fall' and avoiding head injury.

6. you are now a tripod head and hands, in a tuck with the knees still on the triceps.

7. pull the heels in toward your butt, flex your feet, and push your heels to the ceiling.

Mammals are not the only type of animals that can be pets. You can have reptiles, birds, fish, insects, and in cases of extreme landlords or obsessive-compulsive cleanliness, rocks.

Bears, cats and dogs are all descended from a prehistoric mammal called a Miacis.

The largest number of children born to one woman is recorded at 69. From 1725-1765, a Russian peasant woman gave birth to 16 sets of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets.

-crosses legs-

If you crochet a circle and increase more quickly than you should (2 stitches in each stitch), you end up with a round, wavy ball shape.
