Does anyone know how I can stop all these dirty little e-mails being sent to my Outlook Express account? While I was away at University, my Mum went into it, and discovered loads of really bizarre and twisted porn e-mails! And worst of all, she thought I'd signed up for them!

So... is there any way I can somehow block all these addresses, or send them to a bulk mail folder, or something?

Many thanks!

Do not unsubscribe from them. It only confirms that you still have a valid e-mail account. Download Mailwasher from http://www.mailwasher.net and you can bounce e-mails right off the server without downloading them. The sender gets a message that their e-mail bounced.

I concur, methinks there is a bit of hope-inducing false advertising in the title of this thread.

Like if it email that you have no idea why you are getting it (like the increase your youknowwhat, that I get), don't unsubscribe. But if it is a legitimate newsletter that you signed up for or accidentally signed up for when registering for something, then it's usually safe to unsubscribe.

haha.. sounds like most of us were dissappointed, lol

LC: If you have that problem again with new browsers opening up... try using control+alt+delete for the task manager to appear, then click on the browser in the task manager and keep hitting end task. That seems to work for me. I bet it would be REALLY funny if a computer would record people's faces when all those windows start opening up...

And be careful with your "real" email adress.

I've got one at work (the real one)

one for totally non-workrelated mails.

two or three (or four) for sites that need a mailadress when I don't want to give my real adress.

Thanks for that link Michael. I'm going to download that mailwasher. I get about 100 junk e-mails a day and would love to get rid of them!

I used to get loads of those porn ads, refinancing scemes, you name it. What I did, after awhile of trying to unsubscribe from their mailing lists, was change my primary email address. I have a vacation response set up on the old one, so those friends who for whatever reason didn't hear about my email address change will know that's what's up, and I do want to hear from them.

It'll take the spammers awhile to catch up with me, so for now, my primary email is spam-free.
