(CBS) LOS ANGELES Animal rescue workers say it's one of the worst cases

of abuse they've ever seen. The German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County

was caring for a brutalized dog Tuesday who was adopted by the

organization a year ago.

The 2-year-old German shepherd was found in an abandoned car in South

Los Angeles.

He was in shock, with chemical burns on more than 70 percent of his

body. The burns were caused by battery acid or chlorine that was poured on

The organization is calling the dog Justice, in hopes that the person

responsible for this is brought to justice.

Justice is bouncing back, as he continues to get the best care
