Myers-Briggs Personality test: http://similarminds.com/jung.html

Longer descriptions of the types (as well as how to encourage "personal growth" and how relationships with other types will work) available at http://personalitypage.com/portraits.html

If you don't like the Myers-Briggs or think it's not scientific enough (I've personally found it useful), "The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community. The Big Five emerged from the work of multiple independent scientists/researchers starting in the 1950s who using different techniques obtained similar results":

http://similarminds.com/bigfive.html

If you do one or both, what is your opinion of the results?

The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community. The Big Five emerged from the work of multiple independent scientists/researchers starting in the 1950s who using different techniques obtained similar results. Those results were that there are five distinct personality traits/dimensions. Here are your results on each dimension:

Extroversion results were low which suggests you are very reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and private.

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, neat, structured and restrained at the expense too often of flexibility, variety, spontaneity, and fun.

Emotional Stability results were high which suggests you are very relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Accommodation results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly kind natured, trusting, and helpful at the expense of your own individual development (martyr complex).

Inquisitiveness results were very high which suggests you are extremely intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.

. . . accurate except for the "fun seeking" part of the orderliness explanation.

I almost always come out INFJ, although sometimes it's INFP. I tend to be borderline on everything except Introversion/Extroversion. I'm an introvert to the max.

INFJ, which is 1.5% of the population...no wonder I always feel alone. Although, three of us have already scored this! Which I find to be very interesting. Maybe it says something about vegetarians, or vegetarians who talk on message boards...who knows?

and I'm also a

introverted intelectual

I got INFJ

which is really inaccurate since I've taken this test several times before, not through the internet, and got INF/T (thinking and feeling tied) and P. So this was about half right I guess.

INTP - Architect. Yeah, it seems like me. I don't remember what I got last time I did this, but I don't think it was this - then again, I think I've changed quite a bit since then. Yup, this seems accurate.

I "am" an INT(J/P), the former 3 facets EXTREMELY expressed.

The big 5? I don't like it. It makes me sound like the ******* I am, coupled with the psychological issues I have:

Very "open to experience", very introverted, moderately neurotic, moderately disagreeable, moderately unconscientious.

ebola

The Big Five survey has design flaws. I can intentionally manipulate it in any way I want, that should be impossible in a well designed survey without knowledge of the design.

Another nit to pick is that it seems to peg you as impractical if you like solving problems and acquiring new knowledge. There are many practical tasks which require people like that.

I've taken MB and MB like internet surveys many times. I am IN(f/t)(p/j). I was more solidly INFP about ten years ago. I seem to be compensating well. The first two traits are still well distinguished but not as much as they used to be.
