I've recently moved out of home for the first time and want to keep track of my money/budget now that I have bills to pay. I've been looking to try some sort of personal finance software but when searching for them I've been overwhelmed by how many there are, how complicated a lot of them seem and how expensive a lot of them are.

I basically want something that's simple to use and has basic functions to keep track of how much you spend per month, what you spend it on, how much you earn etc. Does anyone know any software like this or have experience with such software in the past? It also needs to be for mac.

Mint.com is a free, well reviewed site. I haven't really paid it any attention lately, but it's worth checking out. They've never spammed me, or anything bad.

Worth checking

I know this is a very old thread, but I'm looking for ways to help me track my expenses. Mint.com looks great but I'm a bit nervous about putting in my bank account and credit card login information. I know it says the connections are safe, but I'm still a little bit nervous. Does anyone use this website?
