I'm not quite sure why I'm asking this, considering it's summer and I live in Texas. but does anyone know where to get a non-wool peacoat? I gave my wool one away, and I feel coatless.

In NYC, there are places that sell completely synthetic pea coats. They're not as thick, but I don't think they have any wool. Depends on what your thinking is--use wool from an animal that will grow it's wool again and is natural, or use synthetic materials that are killing the planet with toxins....

I lean heavily on using wood and wool rather than plastics and synthetics for that very reason. Better to use a good, solidly made dresser from wood than to buy a cheap, plastic dresser that's gonna break in 6 weeks and you have to throw away and buy another one. Also, better to use wool from a sheep than to pollute the atmosphere with synthetic smoke.

But that's just me.
