I know a few people going from Illinois. I'd like to go but unfortunately with my work schedule it would be like having to take a week off. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":(">

At the risk of starting a big debate, which is not my intention, but as an observation, I find it a bit ironic that the reason people here are able to protest is because they live in a democratic society that was provided as a result of the military.

did you ever stop to think that we're not always the good guys? we have 10,000 nuclear weapons, which we've spent a total of $7 trillion on, according to Natural Resources Defense Council, and we're about to start a war with Iraq. THAT, my friend, is irony.

I've been thinking for the last couple of weeks, I don't really hear of other countries knocking on our door to check our weapons reserves like we do there's. I find it hard to believe that they're not interested. I believe, for the most part, that we are told only what the government wants us to know...that scares me.

During and just before WWII, many lies were told and truths withheld. Because it's a long time ago it's come out into the open now. But most people believed all of it at the time.
