So I got the Veggie DeLITE pizza at Papy Murphy's TakenBake with a friend. Its made on a really thin crust, has a garlic sauce instead of tomato sauce, some motzerella cheese (not vegan friendly), tomatos, spinach, and mushrooms. The whole advertising of the DeLite pizzas is that thier lower in carbs and calories than the normal pizzas because the crust is so thin (150 calories for 1/10 of a pizza). I tried it because I'm trying to incorperate more "danger" foods that I like pre-ana, so this was a babystep.

MY overall impression of the pizza was good

-Crust the instructions say to bake the pizza without the cardboard bakign sheet (straight on the oven) for the last few minutes for a crispier crust. I would suggest this. Before we took off the cardboard, it was kind of limp except of the edges. After baking it by itself for afew mroe minutes, its was perfect. I love thin crust pizzas. This is a really thin crust, so if thats you things, you love it. Otherwise, I'd suggest trying thier gourmet veggie in a pan crust (my mommy likes it, I've never tried)

-SAuce The garlic sauce instead of the tomato sauce was amazing! Yummy!

-Toppings I could go for less cheese next time. At Papa Murphy's, they make the pizza in front of you and customize it, so thats easily solved. There were a decent amount of veggies, but I've always liked to go heavy on those types of toppings, so I may ask for more mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach next time.

Everything blended really well in the pizza and if I'm getting pizza again, I'd definetly do it. It was pretty cheap, 8.99 US for a large (7.99 for me with my coupon from my junk mail) and we cut the large into 10 slices. Also, at my Papa Murphy's, there was a really cute guy working there, which is always a plus

Try replacing the tomato with pineapple next time.

That garlic sauce is yummy!

Thank you for the review. (Now I'm hungry for one)

Not vegan friendly as-is, but you can always ask for it to be part or completly cheese-free, since they make it in front of you. Just get them to pile high the toppings.

And that crust is so super thin, there is no WAY there is egg in it. I'd ask about butter, though I have a feeling they'd use olive oil instead anyway, if fat was needed in the crust-making.

Reviving this topic...

Anyone know if the Gourmet Vegetarian (minus cheese/parm) is vegan? Ordered one the other day because I had heard Papa Murphy's crust/sauce was vegan. Their ingredients public site is offline, but it was delicious. Hope it was vegan though.

the garlic cream sauce has milk/egg products...the crust and marinara sauce are ok though, so just omit cheese

I tried Papa Murphy's for the first time when I lived in Texas, it was pretty good.

They always wanna charge me an extra two toppings for omitting cheese at my nearest location.

Whoa.... wait. They charge you for taking toppings off? So they save money and they try to charge you? I would make a complaint with the company.

I suppose I should. After the first few of times, I just made a point not to bother(I was still a vegetarian experimenting at the time), but when I went back about a week ago as a vegan, it happened again. It would be nice to get some vegangeance.

I'd excuse it is a misunderstanding the first time, but since I live in a relatively bad area, I suspect it's more a case of whoever runs the location trying to make a few bucks.

We just got a Papa Murphy's in my area and it is perfect for me! First, I love pizza, but making it myself is a lot of work (I can't do the pre-made cardboard crusts, so I make my own). So, if I don't feel like making it myself, I order Papa John's. But then I have no option for vegan cheese (and since it's already cooked, you will burn it if you try to cook it more with your own cheese on it). Papa Murphy's is take & bake (yay!). So, I get their veggie pizza and add my own Daiya - BAM! Vegan pizza with cheese. PLUS, now get this (this is the best part): since you are cooking it, you get to slice it. No more picking out a little piece of meat left by their pizza cutter.

I had it Friday night. The best part was the crust, but everything about it was good. They didn't go light on the veggies, either. It had a pretty good helping of them.
