I've been teetering on the idea of vegetarianism for a while now, which as a 30 year old Latino is a HUGE thing! Not knowing where to go, I turned to youtube for help and found freelee, a raw vegan. I looked into some of her published diets and they came as a huge shock to me! I copied part of those portions below and want to know if she's out of her mind, or if I'm just in for a huge shock when making this transition. Some of these meals had additional veggies/fruits to go with them, I just copied the parts that really stuck out to me. I feel like I'm going to have a diabetes in a few days with this diet!<br><br>
Each line is a different meal, and not necessarily on the same day...<br>
- 10kg of watermelon for breakfast (aka 22lbs!!!) I'm assuming that's minus the skin<br>
- 2 liters of orange juice for breakfast<br>
- 15-20 figs for lunch<br>
- 6 mangoes for lunch<br>
- 15-20 figs with 5 dates<br>
- 1 "VERY" sweet pineapple with 6 or more dates and strawberries<br><br>
If someone has a first 30 days raw vegan meal plan for a complete newbie, please feel free to post or PM me! I really need some initial guidance and feel like all I have are fruits, salads, and juices/smoothies.

First, remember that sugar from fruit isn't the same as processed sugar <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)"><br><br>
Lots of people prosper on a raw vegan diet, check out the raw forum here on VB and you'll see that, however remember that all *you* are talking about going vegetarian which is a few ladder rungs down from raw vegan so her diet isn't the same as what yours would be <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

It looks like she is doing a ton of fruit, which is high in natural sugars.<br><br>

I've seen her vids - I don't think I'd ever try that diet. Hers is not the same as the typical vegan diet. She lives in a tropical climate where she gets a big variety and very fresh fruit. She only eats fruit. Everyday. I like the book 30 Day Vegan Challenge. There are also many other youtubers like The SweetestVegan, healthyvegan, da1sinister1, ZombieGate. Thanks everyone for your input, and the youtube channels! I took a look at all of them, that ZombieGate fellow is definitely a class act with a really awesome attitude, I love it!<br><br>

Just as a side note, Freelee (the raw fruitarian) does eat greens, nuts, and seeds in addition to her fruit. If you want information on a raw vegan diet, we have a <a href="http://www.veggieboards.com/newvb/forumdisplay.php?29-Raw-Foodists" target="_blank">raw subforum here</a>. There are a few high raw and totally raw members who could definitely give you a sample meal plan.<br><br>
But as has been said, raw fruit vegan is a type of vegetarian, yes, but vegetarian does not equal raw fruit vegan. All it means, really, is no meat or meat byproducts, including chicken, beef, pork, fish, shellfish, and gelatin. So all the other stuff you eat (veggies, fruit, pasta, beans, nuts, seeds, and dairy and eggs unless you are vegan) is vegetarian.
