The Linda McCartney vegetarian foods business has been bought by an American organic foods firm in a move which could lead to the expansion of production at its Norfolk headquarters.<br><br><br><br>
The business, which employs about 220 workers at its Fakenham factory, was put up for sale by Heinz as part of a rationalisation programme.<br><br><br><br>
Last month, Heinz said it was in exclusive talks to sell the business to Hain Celestial Group and on Monday announced it had completed the deal, reported to be about £10m.<br><br><br><br>
Hain, which makes Soy Dream non-dairy drinks and Terra Chips gourmet crisps, said it hoped to expand the Linda McCartney business in Britain and Europe and throughout North America, where the range is already stocked by specialist food stores...<br><br><a href="" target="_blank"></a>
