i have a question for anybody willing to answer, is it okay to have one crappy day, like eating whatever the hell you want and how much you want of it each week? For instance, i eat very well all week, but then from friday night to saturday night, i eat crappy food, or healthy food, i just eat a large amount of food through this time period. Is that okay? can i still lose weight? and if i can, will it slow my weight loss down? Or if i can't lose weight with this eating habit, does anyone have some suggestions for me? thanks

Relax. If you only eat 'bad food' one day a week you are doing O.K. When you label food good or bad it can become a problem. Just think you are outwardly what you take inside. By eating fresh nutritious food you look good.

If you are trying to create new healthier eating patterns, some people think it's good if it helps you from totally binging and giving up on your new habit. For me, it's often a bad idea because one bad day makes it hard for me to return to my better eating patterns the next day.

So unless one bad day = whole cake, lbs. of cheese, and deep fried candy bars, it's probably ok, imo.

Actually, if you're trying to lose weight, one "really bad" day week can mess up all the good you've done the rest of the week. Sorry, but it's true. If, however, you're trying to maintain a certain weight, that's a pretty good way to do it: being careful during the week so you can be more "relaxed" on the weekends!

hi

i think it depends how your mind works. i did it for a while in highschool, like that. and for a time, it was great. got my cravings out of the way etc., worked wonderfully. but then, as someone mentioned above, id cram MORE in that day, like disgusting amounts, and thats counterproductive.

i certainly lost more weight when i started including that stuff in, in small portions, instead of other things, sometimes.

thanks guys, yea i think i'll do that and just put small servings of the stuff i really want to eat through out the week! then i won't binge on them when saturday rolls around the corner. Because i judt tried to squeeze into some jean that usually fit perfect, and now there kinda tight, so im going to pull the reins and stop these peculiar one night stand binges of mine.
