I was recently research some sites since I help alot with a group that is against animal fighting and is trying to strengthen the penalties when I came across this site www.battlewang.net

I surely find the glorification and promotion of animal fighting be it real or electronic disgusting. Is this a violation of the Federal Animal Welfare Act?

Could someone please give me some guidance in this matter.

Thank you in advance for your help, advice, and counsel.

I'm unclear as to the nature of the site as well, and did not want to register there.

Yeah, it's an online game, no chickens harmed.

But if you want to see some real cockfighting videos do a search for the word "****" on youtube.com. Stumbled upon that by accidents. oops:

One of the last times we were forced to make a trip back to Louisiana there was a huge controversy about cockfighting. Apparently, it is still legal in 2 states-Louisiana and can't remember the other. The Senate was trying to pass a bill to get it banned. There were riots and protests. Not because cockfighting is barbaric, but because people wanted to keep cockfighting legal. As one man so eloquently said in his interview to our local newspaper: "The government doesn't have the right to take away our God given right to quality entertainment."

This was 5 months ago so I don't know if it is still legal or not. Can you see why we ran away screaming????

New Mexico is the other state, although the Oklahoma Ban is facing some serious court challenges. I worked hard with the pro-ban folks when I lived in OK. It really was amazing, the number of times folks referred to the "right" to make chickens peck the hell out of each other. Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly what the Founding Fathers were thinking about wrt "the pursuit of happiness"
