I'm new to this messageboard but it seems odd/sad that nearly all postings are about weight loss rather than 'health'.

I've been a veggie for 20 years (since 16) and have had ulcerative colitis (an acute digestive disorder) since 2001. I am treating it myself after the failure of the NHS and steroids. I am now living a vegan, wheat/gluten free diet which is hard work when you enjoy food (no caffeine or alcohol either!). I seem to be largely living on juiced fruit and a plate of veg for dinner. It is working though.

Is there anyone out there living the same diet? I am bored with it -help!

I'm sorry that I can't offer any insight into that diet, but I would like to welcome you to VB.

My brother has crohn's disease and is always trying to gain weight tho he is not as careful with his diet as he should be imo. Have you checked out rice pastas, breads etc? A friend of mine has celiac so she is gluten free but she fares well in whole food super markets in the gluten free section.
