Just curious, are most nut butters (besides peanut butter) expensive? Because I found some almond butter when I was shopping earlier, only to find out that it costs nine bucks just for one small jar. I knew it would probably cost more that peanut butter, I didn't expect it to be that much. Keeping this in mind, I can't imagine how cashew butter would cost.

Please tell that this is exceptionally expensive and that I can probably get them cheaper elsewhere. If not, could y'all at least give me some tips on how to make my own?

Nup, it super dear here too. The health food store is excessive but even the supermarket charges through the roof. It's pretty easy to make your own. Just grind the nuts in a food processor and add a bit of oil until it turns to a paste. Stick it in a container in the fridge and stir before using cause the oil will come to the surface. Best bit is your nut butter is raw (if you use raw nuts). They usually toast the commercial one's.

Heh, I guess I'm going to need a food processor for this. Just wondering, aren't there ones designed specifically for making nut butters?
