hey guys! i think i may be close to converting my omni boyfriend. i am vegan and i dont think i will be able to convince him to go THAT far, but i think he is considering going vegetarian. I am reading a book right now (vegan: the new ethics of eating- i think) and it says that vegetarians live 7 years longer and that vegans live 15 years longer. i have read tons of stuff online about reduced heart attack and cancer risks, but it's all from websites or books promoting vegetarian and he doesnt completely buy it. does anyone know of some "non-biased" info about the benefits of a vegetarian diet?

\\\\thanks <3 olivia

The American Dietetic Association has a position paper on vegetarianism. It's non-biased and very good. It's pretty easy to find on the net. Just google it. Also, There's a book by Dean Ornish that's very good (I think it's called "Eat More Weigh Less" or something like that.)

I second that!

I forget where I found the link to that, but it was right here on VB; I'm sure you could "search" it. That's the website that finally convinced me to go back to being vegan. I highly recommend it.
