I dont drink a ton, usually just a few glasses of wine on Saturday nights with my hubby but I think I want to just give it up. So I am quitting drinking. Just wanted to make it official LOL

i have also given it up, but then thought I only drink occasionally now, a glass at occasions or so. so if you can do it in moderation why give it up at all.

i am also torn between.

Just Fri and sat night for me too, but I made myself a lame promise that after the hot weather ends, I'm going to try to stop. I know it's some weird reasoning, but my basement has no A/C but I still like to hang out down there, so a couple of drinks makes the hotness go away a bit. But then I sometimes use power tools when I'm down there, and recently was using a router and had so many close calls to getting seriously hurt, I still can't believe I didn't get hurt at all. Had a 25,000 RPM carbide bit catch on stuff, yanking the router out of my hand, cause I was a little "too layed back".

So far so good. I dont even feel tempted, honestly just the thought of less anxiety is really all I need.

It's not just in your head. I can assure you of that. Since I quit drinking nearly five years ago, my anxiety issues have diminished GREATLY.

I do agree, I know that not drinking can help with anxiety but my anxiety (like everyones) makes mountains out of mole holes and I was getting anxiety just looking at a glass of wine because I would anticipate it!!! YUCK!

Good for you!! I gave it up as well. Every time I would drink, I would gain 2-3 lbs from only a few hundred calories in alcohol, and I eat a low cal diet. It really messed me up. It would take me a few weeks to get the weight off. As soon as I had a couple of more drinks, the weight came back. Last time I drank, I drank 2 drinks and ended up passed out on my couch. I hardly remember my mom bringing me home. It was really strange. My husband couldn't believe I only had two.
