Hello! My name is Denalynn. I can't really say that I'm a vegan but felt that I could get a great deal of information from this board.

I recently read a book by Harvey Diamond - "Living Without Pain." Since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 3 years ago, I've been getting worse, turning down the "Here's a pill to help with the pain" way of dealing with it, and have been diligently searching for a more natural approach.

For those of you familiar with his book "Fit for Life," it's the same concepts he's teaching in this book as well. I say it's worth a try.

The problem - I'm not sure how to approach the monodieting. I love salads, but how many salds can you eat in order to eliminate the hunger pangs?

Anyway, I'm hoping to glean information from this website.

I'm not sure what you're allowing in your diet because I have not ready that book, but vegans eat a lot more than salads! :)

Check out the recipe section for ideas and inspiration to get started!

I have fibromyalgia and I have been vegetarian for two years, vegan for almost one. Unfortunately, I have had no relief from FM symptoms with my diet changes. I eat salads, fresh fruit, fresh raw/cooked vegetables, sprouts, lentils, most beans, tofu, hummus, whole grain everything, and more..... I am not familiar with the book you mention or monodieting. I can't imagine eating only one kind of food can be very healthful, though. I haven't researched diet in regards to FM either. I think some people have had some luck with it however.
