Hi all,

My name is Alexia and I live in Essex, England. I'm a vegan and have been for 2 years, and was veggie for 3 years before that. I'm 23 and work for a magazine called Lifescape. It's a glossy but everything is vegetarian, vegan, products not tested on animals, no leather, fur etc in the fashion pages, lots on alternative health etc. I love it!
Has anyone here heard of it?

I also run a national student organisation called Students Against Animal Cruelty, which helps students set up groups at school, college or university, and also helps them if they feel they're being pressured into dissection. We also help new veggies/vegans find their way round eating cheaply and simply etc.

Erm I think that's it.. I'm going to start blogging on here so check those out!

Hi Alexia,

Very welcome to the veggieboards!

Wow, that sounds like an amazing initiative of that magazine, I never heard of it before, how long has it existed? I would love to get my hands on it... is it very broadly distributed? I am currently in Spain, but live in the Netherlands... perhaps it is available in international bookstores.

It is wonderful to have you here, I hope you will enjoy the boards

Hello all! Eek it's been a week since I joined, where did it go! It'd been deadline time at work, so not had much time for anything else.... All over now though, phew! Well, for all those that are interested in the magazine, we do stock abroad. Not widely, but it is doable. We also have an overseas subscription service, which is a little more expensive than getting it in the UK but it covers the extra P&P. We have a new discount scheme going (in the issue about to come out) so when it does I'll give you a holler! We're always looking for more stockists around the world, so if where you live, you think there may be a store/website etc that would be interested in stocking us, please let us know!

Ok, I'm gonna go check out the rest of the threads :)

I just checked out the magazine..it looks pretty cool. Is there a list somewhere of places that sell the magazine? I am going to look when I'm at Sainsbury next, but I haven't seen it there before.

Welcome to VB Alexia! I haven't heard of that magazine but it seems very cool! I wish we had that here in the Philippines. Or even a magazine similar to it. I was looking through my mom's magazines the other day and a lot of the beauty products they feature are from companies that test on animals. Anyway enjoy your stay here!

the past two weeks I have been at four airports, and I have looked around, because those book/magazine shops carry the biggest multitute of international magazines, but I did not find... I am still hoping to find it, because I definitely would like to read a magazine that is completely cruelty free and into style.
