My friends who are moving to Florida finally sold their house, so brought their cat over for us to take care of (they're moving into a no-pets apartment/condo). She's so adorable.
She's currently staying in my studio, but may eventually become an indoor-outdoor cat, but I'm not sure.

Congrats!!! I am sure kitty is happy being a housecat. Kitties who are outdoors are exposed to so many health risks such as disease (feline lukemia and feline aids which are chronic/fatal), fleas, worms & parasites that are carried by those flea's & mosquitos, getting hit by a car, getting attacked by another animal, human cruelty, being stolen....exc. Outdoor cats also have a signifigantly shorter lifespan than indoor only kitties because of all the said risks.

congratulations...i do hope we get 2 see some photos. i think that kitty will MUCH prefer being allowed outdoors! Im sure your cat will be immunised, flea treated and wormed anyway. So unless you are worried about her being hit by a car then i think she will be very happy and safe being an indoor/outdoor cat. i unfortunatley cant have animals where i am renting but my mum has a beautiful siamese cat and i just cant imagine her not being allowed outdoors (of course she is kept in at night). She looooves it!!! All the sights and sounds and basking in the sun

My old cats were all indoor cats and lived a long time (15,15, 19), so I tend to lean toward the indoor cat idea. Right now we need to keep her in so she doesn't try to run back home (over 10 miles away). She's not thrilled with the new home so far, unfortunately, and is hiding behind some sculptures in my studio. Maybe I can pry her out for a photo in the next couple of days. I don't want to stress her by bugging her though.

The first cat- actually, the first animal- I ever really bonded with was a calico.

Sweet cat!
