Okay, for those who don't know what Netflix is, crawl out from under your rock and check it out.. Then, tell me what I should add to my newly-built rental queue:

Hmmm... netflix. That's a great idea. And way cheaper than the potential cost of rentals.

I assume you got Baraka from my thread, so you already have my suggestion!

I used to use netflix for well over a year, but had to cancel several months ago when cutting costs. If there's something I can't find locally I get it from www.dvdovernight.com since they've lowered their prices. I do miss netflix sometimes, but you have to really watch a lot of movies to get your money's worth.

(BTW, you can report movies as "already mailed back" in order to have them send your next queued movie just a little bit early -- if you're not uber-ethical.)

I love netflix!!! I got it in March and their shipping seems to be way fast. Usually I get the movies the day after I get the notice that they are sending the movies....and actually my movies should be in today..yeah...I had no idea about the "already mailed back thing..I don't think I have ever seen that.

Okay people, I'm looking for MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS!!! GUH!!!

I hardly ever rented from Blockbuster, but with Netflix, because they come right to the door, I watch 3 or 4 a month at the least. I only get two at a time so I pay about $4/rental IF i only watch 3 in a month. Not too bad. I also have it set up, sorta, where I have one "fun" movie and one "serious" movie so I'm not stuck with a Netflix movie on the shelf that "I'm not in the mood for" for a month!

There are other services like Netflix now (Walmart?) but there is a Netflix distribution center about 100 miles from here so stuff gets her fast. Plus, it's in my parent's hometown. Sometimes I mail a flick to my old man to watch and he returns it.

Well, if you like the Animatrix two of the best sequences were created by Wantanabe, the creator of Cowboy Bebop (one of my decisions te get Netflix was based on their anime availability).

Thanks - I am kinda getting into anime, but not the really weird stuff. Is Cowbop on DVD different (better) than it is on the tele?

One of the better sci-fi flicks I've seen recently would be Equilibrium. And I'm not just saying that because Christian Bale is yummy.

The Animatrix is excellent. My favorite sequences are The Second Renaissance Part One and The Second Renaissance Part Two. Final Flight of the Osiris is awesome because it's some of the best computer animation I've seen in a long while.

The sequence done by Watanabe-sensei is excellent and has a definite Cowboy Bebop feel. If you enjoy it, you might like Knockin' On Heaven's Door, which is the Cowboy Bebop movie.

Most of my rentals are the things that I wasn't willing to pay to see in the theatre, so very few of them are outstanding enough to recommend for rental.

Finally!! I was wondering how long it would take for you to chime in on the anime chatter

I've put the Animatrix at the top of my list. So many people have recommended it, so...
