Does anyone here know of a good vegan natural toothache remedy? I have jad a terrible toothache over the last couple of days, but am not a big fan of pharmaceutical painkillers. I've heard chewing cloves can be good for it, does anyone know if this is true?

I don't know about chewing them but if you buy clove oil you can put some on the tip of a Q tip (I think that's what you guys call them, we call them ear buds) and dab it on the tooth where it hurts. Don't get it on the side of your cheek or tongue though, it makes it numb and the taste is something beyond terrible!!!

No offense, but have you guys ever heard of a dentist? A toothache isn't just a minor pain that comes and goes. There's usually a reason for it, and there are these people who specialize in diagnosing and fixing those root causes (no pun intended). I'd recommend visiting one.

Exactly. A boy died recently after bacteria from his tooth spread to his brain.

Some of us have to save up for a while in order to afford the dental work we need done therefore need something to kill the pain while we wait. Of course if your tooth hurts you need a dentist however as I said, some of us don't have the luxury of just popping in to see one immediately.

Chew grass and eat lightly.

Seriously, when chewing irritates you, its a sign your blood is too gassy and you need to lay off the food.

But, if you pick some wild grass from a clean organic lawn and chew it, you will notice that it does not irritate the toothe ache when you chew it...where as more sugary foods, or any processed food irritate it..

Sounds crazy but it works, I've tried it.

Of course I have considered going to a dentist because of the pain. Although the problem is I have a major needle phobia! I haven't had an injection in years because of it.

The last time I had to go to the dentist with a cavity they tried laughing gas to relax me, but it didn't lessen the phobia any. I am going to go in sometime anyway and see what they say about it anyway.
