Yesterday sometime in the early morning or even the late evening before that, my parents dog died She was a 10 year old german shepard who had epilepsy. Her seizures seemed to have been under control with special food from the vet office, but she must have had many many seizures which caused her death.

My brother (who is 21) and his wife (who is 19) live in my parents basement. My parents had gone camping for the weekend so my brother and his wife were watching the dog. They got home on Friday evening and Lady was just laying in her corner. Didn't get up or greet them. My brother petted her and she wagged her tail a bit. He thought she was just a bit hot. My brother went into the living room and the dog followed him and jumped up on the couch. She isn't allowed on the couch so he told her to get down. She got down, then jumped back up. Finally after about 10 or so attempts to be on the couch with him, she layed on the floor. At 10:30 pm my brother and his wife went to bed and the dog layed on her blanket in the corner of the kitchen. Next morning my brothers wife woke up and went upstairs. She called Lady and she never answered. She looked and there was poop all over the kitchen floor and in the living room. She started looking for Lady but couldn't find her upstairs so she went downstairs and that is when she found Lady dead underneath the futon. She ran to get my brother and my brother came out. He tried to pull her out but she was stiff as a board and just couldn't do it. So while my parents, sister, her baby, my boys and I were celebrating their 27th wedding annviersary at the lake, my brother came and broke the bad news. They had to go up to the house to take care of Lady. They wrapped her in her favorite blanket with her toys and her leash (she LOVED walking with my dad) and burried her in the backyard. I couldn't stop crying last night. Before I got married I lived with my parents so I lived with Lady for 4 years. Anyways, I'm rambling, but just sucks so bad losing a pet.
