hi everyone!

I'm E. This is my first post-I'm a board newbie-and a transitioning vegetarian-to-vegan.

I'm currently at a point in my life where I am trying to simplify and live a more natural, healthier lifestyle. So-as someone who's new to the vegan lifestyle, what are your biggest tips for a newbie?

Thanks-and-I'm glad to be here

In the spirit of sharing: here's my blog..it's kinda new, too
(pm for link)

Live well & be well, everyone!

Welcome! You'll find a great community here!

You need to update your blog! July 18 had a recipe for shrimp!

I found the cellulose info interesting- I don't believe it's added to anything I buy, but don't the harm? Except that few vegans need to worry about fiber! The nature of all fiber is to pass through the body without digestion, and slow absorption of sugars as they're broken down. (?)

Big high-five on fair trade, organically grown coffee!

I'm editing your post because we don't allow newbies to link to their own blogs until they have been with us for a while and we know they want to be on VB to participate in our discussions, not just send traffic to their own sites. Anyone who is interested in your blog can pm you for the link.

Ah, yes, the shrimp recipe. I have a few people who are going to be regularly guest-blogging, i should figure out a way to label the posts differently-although I'd rather not any meat recipes at all-but I figure that some people who refuse to stop eating meat can be guided at least to a more natural, humane way of doing so. Mixed feelings. (but..now edited with a veg friendly twist for ya )

The cellulose thing is basically tricking your body into thinking it's starving and then storing a lot of things as fat.

And thanks for the comment on the coffee thing....Im a coffee fanatic. And I really want some Organic Love Buzz RIGHT NOW!!

Thanks for the warm welcome... I'm happy happy to have found this place.

Oh! My apologies! Understandable, of course. I'll prove myself, don't worry I don't know as many veggies/vegan as I'd like to in 'real life', so I'm here to stay.
