very nice!

i miss my tongue ring.

my boss has one in that same spot and it did fine after her kids, so it is possible that it won't stretch. though i've seen some stretch badly.

My mom made me wait from 14 (1996, when nobody had them.
) until my 17th bday before letting me get my tongue pierced (1999, then EVERYONE had them, including people who had said "ew, you want WHAT?"
) I asked for a tat, she said one or the other. I've taken my tongue ring out for up to 6 months at a time before having to force it back in. The novelty wears off, so i take it out. Then I get re-curious and put it back in, etc.

I've slowly taken piercings out over the past few years.

Well I've gotten fat, normal, fat, normal, fat.. I think if I had gotten one on my lower stomach, it'd be gross by now.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to get a tattoo, but I can never decide on what to have inked. I figure if I don't know for sure, it's a mistake to do it.

P.S. Yours is really nice.

I would loove to get a tattoo in honor of my father.

I know where I want to get it (abdomen) but I'm not entirely sure what I want yet.

I was thinking maybe a star since he loved looking at the stars.

That sounds like a wonderful idea.

in fact, it's made me maybe think about getting one for my mum, though I don't know what I would get.

And also, I can't remember what she thought about tattoos.
It wouldn't be a very fitting tribute if she was against them, would it?

but still, a beautiful idea

I've wanted a tattoo for years, but once I think I know what I want, I decide against it at the last second...

A tribute to someone is a wonderful idea KatherineLynn, I don't think you can go wrong if you have that deep of a reason for getting it.

I got one as a tribute to my family after my dad died. It looks like this:

http://www.adonfff.com/images/livre/triangle_celtic.gif

Each inner triangle is coloured a different colour for each member of my family. Green for my mum at bottom left (she had amazing greenfingers) Blue for my dad at bottom right (he had the most piercing blue eyes and always wore a light blue shirt and navy trousers every day because he was colour blind and it helped him ot pick out his clothes) in the middle is me with the colour red (for fire, passion, excitement and to remind me to take a break and not burn myself out) and at the top is pinky-purple for my beloved Spiderman (we wore deep pink on our wedding day and his birthstone is amethyst and he treats me like a queen and purple is the colour of royalty)

It's one of my favourite tattoos. But it's on my calf so I don't expose it often. It is my only colour one--the rest are black.
